One Quote, One Lie

One lie is enough to question all the truth

Self

art 04 art 05 art 06

 Four fur paws

siblings, playmates

yet unique

each burning with inner fires

of laudable ambitions

each seeking to shine

above the rest

seeking individuality ever forward

one entirely lose,

lengthen the distance behind

unbind and set free

towards self –

the supreme quest of all!

Bondage of Innocence

BONDAGE OF INNOCENSE

a tale to tell
blindly scattered by virtues of old
dead memories merit perpetuity
power corrupts innocence
plunge in reckless reckoning
deeply steeped into the quagmire of truth
perpetually delved to wanton forgetfulness
not a flame flickers in a pasty crest
oh yoke of thy youth
trustees of posterity
still bent in false obscurity
denunciation of the young
like a summer morn
leaping from place to place
over oblivion.

Stairway

STAIRWAY

I have climbed
to the top of the greasy pole
but I will do more
up to and beyond
the limit of prudent sanity
a very pulpable hit.

Who Cast the First Stone

rocks

the accusers, the condemned, the judge

altogether lost in a crowd

a plead of mercy echoes

privilege of the blameless

yet silence . . .

Fleeting Moment

Coastal Isabela (2)

by: Alvin Encarguez Lauran

Staring the blank pages

coming into life

ink flows

blotted out…

thoughts pouring in

like a summer rain

intellect and insanity

combined…

ocean waves

kiss the shore

then gone –

forgotten

forever lost…

or is it?

WHITE SCREEN
By: Alvin E. Lauran

Leafless trees swiftly swaying through the winds
Austere thoughts emblazoned across the black canvas
Grim images haunting each pace of the forgotten past
I sighed…

Scribbling in vibrant paints what’s left behind
I hear the echo of regrets
Poignant flashbacks of long ago
I cried. . .

Scattered petals as twilight falls
‘Til daybreak its fragrance lost
For a brief moment
I slept…

Perceiving the soft sound of a fallen leaf
Bleak musings slowly fading, remains just a thought
Misty fog gone, the new sun illumined the dark path
I awoke. . .

Linking what’s missing, rainbow appearing
Reflection of people letting go and moving on
Behold the salutation of the new day
I’m alive!
